We, the ippolita research group, have created and use Riso, a wiki and a CMS for web projects. We use it for community writing project for example the Open non e' Free and Luci ed ombre di Google books.

We decided to create a new wiki because we have tested a lot of opensource and freesoftware wikis for over one year but every one has different problems. Riso has a different point of view about the text and the writing method: our method.

Riso is based on AJAX technology (gecko's browsers like firefox, mozilla, and so on) and a backend written in PHP (4.x or 5.x) with a MySQL (4.x or 5.x) database. The exports are written in XSLT a really complex and powerful language.

Documentation

Riso has not a manual, man pages or something else. It is because Riso was thinked to be a private tool but, as you can see, now it is different. We don't know if we'll write something about it. There is only a README file :)
