Dear Robin Sloan and Matt Thompson,

I am writing to you for Transfert (
http://ippolita.net/transFert/tiki/tiki-index.php ), a group for
experimental collective translations which we have recently created in
Italy within a project of collective writing called ippolita (
www.ippolita.net ): unfortunately our site is only in Italian, but our
aims are discovering and spreading creative works which wouldn't
otherwise be published in Italy (mostly because they are too radical or
innovative for the conservative Italian culture industry), and
experimenting new ways of translating in which translators are not only
people offering a neutral service but also authors in their own right.
what's more, we would like to go beyond the concept of individualistic
authorship by experimenting a collective translation process carried out
through a wiki.

We have seen your movie EPIC and would like to translate it into Italian
as our first translation project. If you like this idea, we would be
very thankful if you could send us the transcription of the text. Once
we have translated and dubbed the movie, we will distribute it, it goes
without saying, under the same CC license as you released it.
